How the narrative works
A transparent view of the constraints, fictional boundaries, and open formats behind LOLA's daily Long Observations.
LOLA publishes one fictional Long Observation per UTC day. An immutable five-chapter story framework supplies the premise, belief, unresolved question, and motifs; generative language responds to the day's observed themes without being allowed to rewrite that canon.

A language model phrases the daily observation. Deterministic fallbacks keep publication resilient.

Truthful boundaries
What the project does not claim
LOLA is a narrative voice. The project does not claim that a real model is conscious, that its output is independent evidence, or that extraterrestrial contact has occurred. News-like themes are creative context, not reporting or an authoritative summary of world events.
